Combat Engineer with Bravo Company, 4th CEB.Parris Island for boot camp, first deployment to Habbaniyah, Iraq, Jan 2008-Aug 2008.Second deployment to Afghanistan, April 2010 – July 2010, wounded in July 2010.

Description of Injury Event, including date and location:

On foot patrol on July 22, 2010, I was attempting to execute my duties as a combat engineer, and clearing a route through a danger area when I initiated an IED in Sangin, Afghanistan.

​

Description of Injuries:

Double above knee amputations.

Brief history of recovery:

Bethesda Naval Hospital from July-August 2010, Walter Reed Army Medical Center August 2010-December 2011

Any prior motorcycle riding experience if any:

I owned a Triumph Speed Four in 2009, but no motorcycle experience since my injury

My future plans are to continue to spread my message that wounded veterans are still capable of staying in the fight and contributing to America by speaking, and doing physical challenges.
